*** NOTICE REGARDING COVID-19 ***

August 3, 2020 updated

We are happy to report that one employee has been deemed recovered. To recap recent events, we currently have six residents and two employees who are COVID-19 positive. Positive employees will not return to work until they are deemed recovered.

Due to the constant change in the number of COVID-19 test results pending, we will only send updates when there are COVID-19 positive cases or when COVID-19 positives have been deemed recovered. ​COVID-19 tests are administered for any resident or employee exhibiting signs and symptoms of COVID-19 or when directed by the local health department. Random COVID-19 testing can occur during times of potential exposure, when directed by the health department, or when ordered by a physician. If your loved one has been exposed, a COVID-19 test will be administered. If your loved one tests positive for COVID-19, you will receive a personal phone call.

Our facility is under complete quarantine with only essential medical personnel permitted inside. We continue to follow the Centers for Disease Control, Local Health Department, and Texas Health and Human Services guidance in medically assessing and examining employees at the beginning and end of each shift. We are diligently monitoring and assessing residents and employees, following the disinfecting and housekeeping protocols, adhering to social distancing guidelines, and numerous other preventative measures. Residents have been assigned representatives to aid with communication to family members via Smartphones, tablets, and computers to help minimize feelings of social isolation.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends who have lost loved ones due to COVID-19. As our nation and the world experience the impact made by the Coronavirus pandemic, rest assured we have implemented the best available precautions and have the appropriate supplies needed to care for your loved one.
