We received notification yesterday that two residents tested positive for COVID-19. We received notification July 8 that four residents and one employee tested positive for COVID-19; the employee last worked July 5.

A hospice resident passed away July 7. Our condolences are with the family and friends. After the resident passed, we were informed the resident had tested positive for COVID-19. Also, we received notification that two employees tested positive for COVID-19 on July 7. One employee last worked July 2, and the other last worked July 7.

To recap recent events, Lindan Park’s residents and employees underwent a mandatory mass testing for COVID-19 on June 21. We received notification July 6 that one employee tested positive for COVID-19 during that testing. We still have results pending and will update you upon receipt of those results. Also, we received notification June 9 that an employee tested positive for COVID-19 at a Dallas hospital; that employee last worked June 7.

Our facility is under complete quarantine with only essential medical personnel permitted inside. We continue to follow the Centers for Disease Control, Local Health Department, and Texas Health and Human Services guidance in medically assessing and examining employees at the beginning and end of each shift. We are diligently monitoring and assessing residents and employees, following the disinfecting and housekeeping protocols, adhering to social distancing guidelines, and numerous other preventative measures. Residents have been assigned representatives to aid with communication to family members via Smartphones, tablets, and computers to help minimize feelings of social isolation.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends who have lost loved ones due to COVID-19.
